About the agency
Our Why
Grief reshapes attention, memory, trust, decision-making, productivity, and identity. It shows up in workplaces, products, healthcare, and technologies — whether acknowledged or not. Most organizations are already dealing with it. Few are equipped to respond well.
Hypmthr exists to close that gap.
Our Founder
Breonna Rodriguez Delgrosso is a research-led strategist, designer, and Thanatologist working at the intersection of death, caregiving, culture, and systems. She is the founder of Hypmthr, a creative agency and grief lab focused on translating complex human realities into practical strategies organizations can actually implement.
With over two decades of experience inside large institutions and cultural organizations, Breonna has led work spanning research, design, storytelling, and product strategy for some of the most recognized brands in the world. She is a two-time Emmy-nominated creative leader and has held senior roles at Google and Sesame Street, where her work helped shape products, narratives, and frameworks used at scale.
In 2024, she stepped away from senior leadership after recognizing a persistent gap: death, grief, and caregiving were already shaping workplaces, healthcare systems, and products—but were being addressed without the rigor, design discipline, or institutional fluency applied to other high-stakes domains. Hypmthr was built to close that gap.
Her work combines qualitative research, systems thinking, and ethical design to help organizations navigate grief-related complexity without flattening it for convenience or scale. She is known for designing strategies that respect real constraints—time, legal risk, internal politics, and operational pressure—while still delivering clarity, usability, and impact.
Breonna’s approach is grounded in the belief that grief is not a soft issue, but a structural one—reshaping attention, memory, trust, decision-making, and identity. Through Hypmthr, she works with organizations, healthcare institutions, practitioners, and product teams to build responses that are humane, defensible, and built to hold under pressure.
Mission
Hypmthr’s mission is to help organizations work with grief, death, caregiving, and aging as real operational conditions — not abstract values or episodic crises.
We translate complex human realities into strategies, tools, and educational frameworks that organizations can actually implement. Our work is grounded in how systems function under pressure: limited time, legal constraints, cultural risk, and competing priorities. The goal is not performance or polish, but clarity that holds up in practice.
We believe grief literacy is a form of organizational competence. When institutions design for what is already present — rather than avoiding it — they make better decisions, build more credible products, and create cultures that are both humane and resilient. Hypmthr exists to make that level of rigor possible, without flattening human experience or adding unnecessary burden.
